Lee introduced the Westerner collection during the late 1950's and it was intended to be worn by cowboys during more dressed up occasions. It's basically their iconic "Rider Jacket", first introduced in the 1930's, but in a white 11oz cotton satin twill. One could say that the Westerner jacket got its fame and cult status through the movie "Kissin' Cousins" where none other than Elvis Presley
